Along with adding accessible public transport information, including accessible parking information in your employer profile helps ensure that potential candidates are provided with as much information as possible about how they can safely and confidently travel to and from the workplace.
It’s important to remember that “accessible” does not mean the same thing to everyone, and some parking spaces will work for some and not others. Providing accessible parking information allows people to choose for themselves whether the parking space is suitable for their preferences and requirements.
You can add accessible parking information into your employer profile via the 'locations' section. Choose a location, and click “add a parking space”. You will be asked to include the following information:
- Address
Where is the accessible parking space? - Space type
You can choose from:- Onsite
- Offsite – kerbside
- Offsite – perpendicular
- Offsite - angle
- Additional information
This could include the car park surroundings, such as carpark access and clearways. - An image of the accessible parking space, with Alt-Text (Alt Text describes your photos for people who are blind or have low vision. You can find more information about Alt Text in our helpdesk guide.)
Finalise your accessible parking information by clicking “add this parking space”. You can then add another space, or edit and remove the current accessible parking space information.
