At the Field, we are here to revolutionise employment by levelling up opportunities for everyone. At the core of who we are, we believe that everyone deserves the right to realise their employment potential in an environment that is safe, kind, and respectful.
To help make this happen, everyone who uses the Field must follow our Community Guidelines and accept our Terms and Conditions. Not doing so may mean you lose access to our site and the exciting opportunities that come with it.
the Field team guidelines
We believe transparency goes both ways, so before we explore community guidelines for our users, the Field team wanted to share some of our own.
Nothing for people with disability, without people with disability
The Field is an employment space designed by people with disability and we intend for it to stay that way. In all our decision-making, we will elevate the experiences of people with disability and make sure that disability remains at the forefront of everything we do.
Continue to learn and grow from our community
We are new to the world of online recruitment and are excited to see how we can get better. We will listen to and harness feedback from our community to continue to grow and improve the Field. If you have an accessibility or feature request, an idea to improve your experience or would just like to tell us how you’re using the Field, we want to know.
Prioritise safety and support
Everyone should feel safe and supported when using the Field. Accessibility and inclusion are key to our platform, and we will actively build features, tools and resources to make sure our community feels safe. If you have questions for our team or are having trouble with any aspect of our platform, we will be there to help you find a solution. We will pay attention to what matters for the safety, security and integrity of the Field’s community.
Combat unconscious bias and misconceptions
The Field is here to challenge the unconscious bias and misconceptions that play a big part in the employment space. We will continue to find and remove barriers to employment for people with disability and employers, and appreciate when you highlight barriers we may not know about.
Trust and respect are key
We know that when you use the Field, you are trusting us with your personal or business information. We will respect that trust in how we collect information, build our resources, features and services, and how we communicate with our users.
Community Guidelines
Be honest and authentic
The Field is a place where you can be authentically yourself. Where job seekers and organisations meet on a level playing field to engage honestly and genuinely in the job market. These values are key to making sure everyone can enjoy the Field in a productive, positive, and safe environment.
As part of our community, you must only include information on the Field you know to be true and authentic. Misrepresenting yourself or your organisation in any way is not in line with our core values and impacts the platform’s safety. We actively monitor the Field to remove misinformation and appreciate when you report false content we might have missed.
Prioritise respect, safety and open communication
We know that the employment market can be challenging, and full of different opinions and experiences. Our growing and diverse community is a huge part of what makes the Field so great. It also means you may come across opinions that differ from your own. As part of the Field community, engaging in open and respectful communication, even when you may disagree with something or someone, is key to making the platform safe and enjoyable for everyone.
The Field has zero tolerance for hate speech, abusive, illegal and/or exploitative behaviour, and any other unsafe behaviour toward others. We review the safety and respect on our site continually, and will remove users and content that breach these values. Acting with respect is vital to being part of the Field, and includes treating all people fairly, recognising and valuing difference, and being kind and empathetic.
Maintain privacy and trust
Being a part of the job market can be a nerve-wracking experience, whether you’re looking for a new job, or hiring someone new into your team. Feeling confident and empowered to share information is hugely important to a positive employment experience, and receiving information from someone about themselves or their organisation is an act of trust.
As part of our community, you must maintain the privacy of others, and treat the sharing of information with confidentiality and respect. Our job site is designed for employment, and when you communicate with others on the Field, it must be related to genuine employment opportunities, and not for solicitation of any kind.
Be open to opportunity
The Field levels up opportunities for everyone and purposefully champions diversity and inclusivity. As a part of our community, we know you are on the same page, and don’t mind putting in some extra effort to find the right fit for yourself or your organisation. Not everyone loves seeing themselves on camera, but including the finer details like videos and photos improves accessibility and helps others get to know the real you in more detail.
Be open to trying out the Field’s features and if you have any suggestions for new ones, we’d love to hear them.
Accessibility
The Field is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disability. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. Our site is designed using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, complies with AA requirements and certain AAA requirements.
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our site. Please let us know if you have any problems. Phone (03) 9830 0190, email: support@thefield.jobs.
Equal pay
At the Field, we are committed to pay equality and believe that people with disability should be paid the same rates as people without disability, including meeting and exceeding the National Minimum Wage Standards.
In Australia, all employees are entitled to employment entitlements as set out under the National Employment Standards. You can find out more here:
Child safety
At the Field, we are committed to keeping children and young people physically, psychologically and culturally safe, and uphold the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. If at any point you believe there to be a breach of these Principles. or a risk to the safety of a child or young person, you can report this directly to the Commission for Children and Young People here: https://ccyp.vic.gov.au/report-an-allegation/.
Equal opportunity
The Field is an Equal Opportunity Organisation, and we believe that the diversity of our community is part of what makes us great. We focus on skills, personalities and experiences, and believe that everyone should be able to participate freely and equally in the workplace.
Reporting and feedback
Accessibility, safety and innovation are top priorities for our team at the Field. If you have suggestions, concerns, requests or feedback of any kind about how we can improve your experience on our site, we want to know about it. If you have ideas about how we can make the Field better, we want to hear from you.
We take your safety seriously and appreciate the courage it takes to speak up when something doesn’t seem right. If you’re not sure whether you should report something, we always prefer that you do. You can report inappropriate content and/or negative experiences directly on the Field platform, through our feedback form, via phone on (03) 9830 0190, or via email at support@thefield.jobs.
