'About me' is the place in your profile where you can give potential employers information about you, including your personality, skills and experiences. You can add some basic information into 'About me', including:
- Your first and last name
- Your phone number and email address
- Your location
- Your preferred pronouns
- Your date of birth.
We always recommend you add a profile picture, and write or record a summary about yourself, your skills and experiences, and what you’re looking for in a job. Adding video and audio summaries can really make your profile unique and show off your personality to potential employers.
You will need to add your name, but everything else is up to you – you can decide what information you do or don’t want to include. We always recommend adding as much information as you are comfortable with, to showcase yourself as a candidate.
There is also an option that appears as you build your profile, to make information appear on your public profile for hiring managers to access. If you tick the checkbox, information will appear to employers. If you do not tick the checkbox, information will remain private so only you can find it.
