Questions in this section:
The Field has been designed as an accessible and inclusive job site to connect job seekers with disability, chronic health conditions, mental ill-health and/or injuries with jobs posted by inclusive employers. We have built our application process to be as accessible and inclusive as possible. We have employers who want to employ job seekers with lived experience of disability, but their systems do not easily integrate with the Field. When this happens, we don’t want you to miss out on these job opportunities so we allow select employers to redirect job applicants to their external websites while we work to establish a more inclusive process.
When an employer on the Field is using application redirection we will always let you know by displaying an alert message above the “Apply now” button on the job advertisement. A confirmation pop-up will be displayed so you have the power of choice as to whether you want to leave the Field to submit your application. Please note: these roles are only available to apply via the application redirection and cannot be submitted using the Field.
Employers who have been given permission to use application redirection on our site have first been in discussion with the Field team and demonstrated their commitment to providing an accessible experience. However, we cannot control the experience you may have on external websites and the application process will be different for each employer.
Should you require any assistance with the application process with a redirection, we encourage you to contact the employer using the details provided in the job advertisement. If you have any questions about the redirection process or require assistance contacting the employer, please contact the Field’s friendly Customer Support team via email at email@example.com, through our live chat feature on the website, or by calling 03 9830 0190.
Answers to the questions:
What is an application redirection and what is it used for?
Application redirection is when you click the ‘Apply now” button on a job listing and are taken to another website external to the Field to complete your job application. This only occurs when an employer has an application process that cannot be integrated with the Field at this time. We will always let you know when an application must be submitted on an external website by displaying an alert message above the “Apply now” button. A confirmation pop-up will be displayed so you have the power of choice as to whether you want to leave the Field to submit your application.
Will the external application process be the same as the Field?
The application process will vary for each employer for a number of reasons. But these employers are committed to providing an accessible experience and can be contacted using the contact details on the job advertisement.
Why can’t I use my profile from the Field for an external application process?
Will the application process be accessible on a different site?
We cannot control the experience you have on other websites and the application process will be different for each employer. Any employers who have been given permission to use application redirection on our site have first been in discussion with our team and are committed to providing an accessible experience.
If you have any problems submitting an application on an external website due to accessibility requirements we encourage you to contact the employers HR team to get assistance with submitting your application. If you don't feel confident contacting them directly please contact our friendly customer service team at the Field who would be happy to help you.
If a job has an application redirection, can I apply without leaving the Field?
No, jobs with application redirections can only be applied for using the external site and are unable to accept applications through the Field. This is because redirections are only provided to employers when they cannot integrate with the Field.
