Answers to the questions:
Why are there video and audio options?
While written formats are great, not everyone thrives on a one-page document. Adding flexible formats into the employment process means the Field community can send and receive information in a way that is accessible to as many people as possible. It puts skills, personalities, and experiences at the forefront, and allows people and organisations to best represent themselves.
What is the Inclusive Language Tool?
The Inclusive Language Tool has been developed by the Field to help you ensure you’re using the most disability-inclusive language in your profile, job ads, applications, and across the Field in general. You can type or paste text into the tool, and our AI will identify words and phrases that could be adjusted to be more disability-inclusive. It will then suggest alternatives, which you can add straight into your text. You can access the Field’s Inclusive Language Tool here.
Do I have to use the Inclusive Language Tool?
No, you don’t. The Inclusive Language Tool is there to support you to use language that is the most disability-inclusive it can be. You can use this tool as much or as little as you like, however we always encourage you to use our tools and resources where you can, as they have been developed and designed by people with disability to support you throughout the employment process.
I have an idea for a new feature – how can I let you know?
We love receiving new ideas. If you want to make a suggestion for a new feature you would like to find on the Field, or have an idea about how to improve an existing feature, you can get in touch with us at feedback@thefield.jobs.
What’s the difference between a ‘Q&A’ and a ‘Meet and Greet’?
Q&A sessions are designed to connect candidates and employers to discuss the particulars of a specific open job role. This could include discussing the role requirements, remuneration and location. Alternatively, meet and greet sessions are more generalised information sessions that organisations can hold to attract candidates by giving them information about their company culture and potential role opportunities.
It's important to note that you will need all information before adding a Q&A to a job post, and you won’t be able to edit the Q&A session once it is live.
How do I know what new features are coming?
We will let you know periodically about when you can expect new features, and what they will include. New feature info will most often be added to “the Field around the grounds”, and announced via EDMs and social media channels. You can follow us on socials here:
