How is the Field different from other job platforms?
Founded by 2022 Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott, the Field is a job site built by and for people with disability, that actively connects people with disability with jobs from inclusive employers. It has been created with accessibility and inclusivity at the core of every part of the process; from accessible design and development, to the implementation of unique features. Our platform is more than simply connecting candidate with employers. the Field is innovative, accessible, and trustworthy for people with disability. We give hiring managers a tool that removes barriers and equips them and their organisations to hire more inclusively, while unlocking incredible talent across all industries, roles, and levels of experience.

How do I know if the Field is accessible to me?
Our aim is to be accessible for everyone, and we have designed and extensively tested the platform to maximise its accessibility at every stage. We know there are always areas to improve, and we always want to learn from our community to remove employment barriers. What qualifies as disability at the Field?
At the Field, we are led by the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) definition of disability. It describes people with disability as:
“People who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory differences that, when interacting with inaccessible communities and environments, prevent full and equal community participation.”
We welcome job seekers with visible, and non-visible disability, mental ill-health, neurodiversity, chronic illness, intellectual disability or with any workplace accessibility requirements.
What do jobs pay on the Field?
Pay rates are determined by employers and will vary job to job, however all jobs on the Field must meet the National Minimum Wage standards.
